58 plants were installed at Rimbun Dahan on World Environment Day last month.

Many of them are specimens of rare, uncommon or previously undescribed species -- including Shorea resinosa, Shorea singkawang var. scabrosa, Steleocharpus cauliflorus, Dipterocarpus crinitus, Dryobalanops oblongifolia, Hopea ferruginea, Nageia motleyana, Shorea balanocarpoides, Shorea bentongensis, and Vatica havillandii -- are now endangered by logging or habitat loss.

For an overview of the species planted, see the lists of plant species in the garden at Rimbun Dahan.
